## the mirage arm

a real episode from mirage's training scene that is played back frame by frame.

_a single recorded frame of mirage's arm_blocks scene, showing the two-link arm and the three blocks it manipulates on the table, at the 64 by 64 pixels the simulator actually renders._

### labelled bodies

- joint0 · hinge, unlimited
- joint1 · hinge, ±2.5 rad
- link0
- link1
- table
- block0
- block1
- block2

### systems

- **TOKENIZER** (table) compresses each 64x64 frame into an 8x8 grid of discrete codes.
- **DYNAMICS MODEL** (link1) a small transformer that predicts the next frame's tokens from the current ones and the action.
- **DATASET** (block0) each frame's pixels have the joint angles and block positions.

## experience

### Software Engineering Intern · Fraxia (Apr–Aug 2026)

remote

built the RAG-infrastructure for the platform that digests mining technical reports with over 500 pages.

### Project Management Intern · Global Electric (Jun–Sep 2025)

Anaheim, CA

worked on the la metro project through contract reviewing and built the email ingestion pipeline that increases the productivity by 50%.

### Software Engineering Fellow · Headstarter AI (Sep–Dec 2024)

remote

a software engineering fellowship where i've built full-stack apps that serves over a thousand users for a track.

## projects

### inventory management (2024)

my first full app where i've learnt databases and calling apis

stack: JavaScript, SQL

- [github](https://github.com/jaken31/inventory-management)

### ENTRYL (2024)

a desktop malware scanner that runs on a self-trained model using automl because mcafee isn't smart enough.

stack: Tauri, Rust, Python, Next.js, H2O AutoML, XGBoost, SHAP

- [github](https://github.com/cybernexusteam/ENTRYL)

### hengel (2025)

a proxy that checks every site your browser asks for against known phishing domains, helping people against typosquatting threads. runner-up of 200+ teams at Concordia University.

stack: Python, mitmproxy, SQLite

award: runner-up, 200+ teams, Crack the Code Hackathon, Concordia University

- [github](https://github.com/jaken31/Hengel)

### mirage (2026)

trained a model that can understand the world well enough to replace a simulator through a custom triton kernel and tokenizer.

stack: MuJoCo, PyTorch, C++, Python

- [github](https://github.com/jaken31/mirage)

### lief (2026)

smart people still click bad links, so i built an extension that teaches you to spot the trick right when it happens.

stack: TypeScript, Chrome extension, Vite

- [github](https://github.com/jaken31/lief)

### robodog (2026)

a spotmicro-style robot that transmit mobile wifi signals for disaster areas autonomously. i worked on the dynamics and control, along with rl training and kinematics for smooth movements and cuteness.

stack: FreeCAD, Python, CalculiX, gmsh

- [github](https://github.com/jaken31/robodog)

### prebuilt (2026)

a pipeline that utilizes a network of decentralized agents to optimize micrometer precision 3d printing using local models

stack: Python, NumPy, NVIDIA Warp

- [github](https://github.com/matte-realize/prebuilt)
